I am currently a senior at California State University, Monterey Bay and will graduate at the end of Fall 2021 semester with my Bachelors Degree. I am pursuing a major in Collaborative Health and Human Services with an interdisciplinary concentration in Social Work and Public Health. I have been a student researcher under the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) as a Koret Scholar at California State University, Monterey Bay since Spring 2021. My research is focused on the barriers women face in the United States to access and/or obtain an abortion. For four years I was a specimen collector for National Labs Inc. and at the moment I am a Collaborate Health Worker lll for Monterey County Health Department, Clinic Services Bureau. In the past, I had the opportunity to be a behavior therapist for children diagnosed with autism. My work experience provided me with different skills like communication with staff and clients, compassion and patience for those who need services and to respect the privacy of people by following HIPAA at all times. I plan to continue my education and enroll in a Physician Assistant graduate program because my goal is to be a Physician Assistant and continue my passion for health.
